Writing your students can show they wrote
Students can hand in a verification link that shows their writing passed. Instructors can confirm it with one paste. Each instructor’s account is free with a school email.
What a student hands in
A verification link. It shows the result, the date, the word count and the models that read the text. An instructor can paste the submitted text into the page to confirm it is the same one.
How a link worksWhat the mark rests on
Verified human: the standard detector read this text as human. It covers this text on this date. It does not show who wrote it or how. Our standard detector flagged 0 of 600 human-written papers in its release test (95% upper bound 0.50%), 1 of 549 held-out human papers, as Mixed (upper bound 0.86%), and 5 of 9,305 real student essays, all as Mixed, none as AI. It called 20 of 176 humanized AI papers human and, in a newer test of one humanizer tool, 231 of 255 rewritten long papers and 122 of 136 rewritten essays human, so a humanizer tool can get text past it.
See the model cardNotes a teacher can check
A deep check also looks for references we could not find in Crossref or OpenAlex, unusual stock phrases, pairs of numbers, names or dates worth a second look, and up to 8 dates and numbers checked against Wikipedia. It shows the sentences it found as notes for a person to check. It never marks a text as AI-written.
- A deep check sends up to 8 sentences from the text to Google (Gemini, in our own cloud project) to be judged, and search words drawn from them to the Wikimedia Foundation (Wikipedia search). The titles in its reference list go to Crossref and OpenAlex.
For each instructor
Free with a school or university email: 50 papers a month and 15 deep checks a month. Paste one paper at a time in the web app, or send papers with automation to our MCP server.
The education planFor a department or writing center
A department plan is $99 a month by card: ten teacher seats, each with 1,500,000 words a month, and 300 deep checks a month shared across them. When the 300 are used, a teacher with a school email still has their own 15.
- Schools and campuses: $2 to $3 per student a year, with a $2,000 minimum.
Student work
Our detector scores the text in memory and de-identifies any personal information for additional training.
Limits
A flag should be reason to look closer and not verified proof of cheating. It never says a text is AI-written as a fact about a person.
Bring it to your department.
A quote names seats, the deep-check allowance and the price. Someone replies by email.
