Show that you wrote it
Check your work, then hand in a verification link that shows it passed. The link shows the result and the date.
Checking your own work
Paste your essay to see the result. Verified human: the standard detector read this text as human. It covers this text on this date. It does not show who wrote it or how.
What the verdicts mean
"Verified human" means the standard detector read the text as human. "Not verified" means the check could not confirm it, and the result shows the sentences and the reason. "Not scored" means there was not enough text to read: under 50 words there is no reading.
If you were flagged
Ask which tool made the reading, at which setting, and to see the marked sentences. Bring your drafts and version history to the meeting.
If your writing was not verifiedIf English is not your first language
Our standard detector flagged 0 of 1,195 essays by learners of English, from one university English language program written 2005 to 2012, and our students detector, shown as a note, flagged 4 of the same 1,195. That is a count, not proof of fairness.
What a Human result means
It covers this text on this date. It does not show who wrote it or how. The mark is for words a person wrote, as handed in. Text rewritten by a humanizer does not qualify, even if a person wrote the first draft. Our detector does not catch every rewrite: in our tests it missed most rewrites by one tool.
Limits
A flag should be reason to look closer and not verified proof of cheating. It does not check plagiarism.
