Anyone can start today: 2,000 words a day free, or Pro and Max by card. A contract is for volume beyond Max, or terms a card plan does not cover.
Limits
Our standard detector flagged 0 of 600 human-written papers in its release test (95% upper bound 0.50%), 1 of 549 held-out human papers, as Mixed (upper bound 0.86%), 5 of 9,305 real student essays, all as Mixed, none as AI, and missed 0 of 481 wholly machine-written held-out papers (upper bound 0.62%).
When the detector changes
Every result names the run that read it. When a model is replaced, its numbers on the model card are replaced with the new run’s, dated, and a number measured on an older run comes down.
Who checked the numbers
We run and grade our own tests. No outside party has checked these results yet.
What a flag supports
A flag should be reason to look closer and not verified proof of cheating. It never says a text is AI-written as a fact about a person.
Student work
Our detector scores the text in memory and de-identifies any personal information for additional training.
