Teachers and staff with a school email can check up to 50 papers a month free, with 15 deep checks a month. Students can hand in verification links that show their writing passed.
Who qualifies
Anyone with a school or university address.
- Addresses ending in .edu
- Addresses ending in .edu, .ac or .sch plus a country code, such as .ac.uk
- School districts on k12 state domains
- Other school addresses after a short review
What is free
50 papers a month and 15 deep checks a month. Paste one paper at a time in the web app, or send papers with automation to our MCP server.
- The allowance resets each month
- Unused papers do not carry over

Limits
Our standard detector flagged 0 of 600 human-written papers in its release test (95% upper bound 0.50%), 1 of 549 held-out human papers, as Mixed (upper bound 0.86%), 5 of 9,305 real student essays, all as Mixed, none as AI, and missed 0 of 481 wholly machine-written held-out papers (upper bound 0.62%).

Limits
A flag should be reason to look closer and not verified proof of cheating.
